As a complement to the World Congress ISWA2019, the organization has planned a series of technical visits whose program is now ready and can be consulted in all details on the Congress website. Four visits to the same number of local waste treatment facilities are planned, which will take place on Wednesday and Thursday, 9 and 10 October, at a price of 40 euros each.
In addition to the technical visits, the Organizing Committee of the World Congress ISWA2019, has also planned a space for leisure and discovery of local culture. Here some of the social visits:
- Visit to San Sebastian: including a panoramic visit, a walking tour of the city and a pintxos route through its most typical bars.
- Guided walking tour through the most emblematic places of Bilbao.
- Excursion to the Basque coast, including a visit to San Juan de Gaztelugatxe.
- Excursion to Rioja Alavesa, an area that covers some of the most important vineyards and wineries in Europe
