ECN webinar to celebrate the «World Soil Day»

ECN celebrates this day every year and this time it will be even more special because the European Commission adopted the EU Soil Strategy on 17th November. Mr Mirco Barbero, European Commission, DG ENV, already accepted their invitation to join this event.
During the webinar they would like to raise awareness of the benefits of adding organic matter to agricultural fields to restore humus and soil health. They will present the results of long-time field trials and we would like to cohost an EU member state to explain how the Common Agricultural Policy can support farmers to introduce beneficial practices in their operations.
They would be very happy to welcome you to join their webinar for the interesting lectures and the lively panel debate.
For further information theyhave published a policy paper on the New EU Soil Strategy and a position paper on Soil Organic Matter ‘Organic matter for the preservation of soil health and fertility’.
